Tout sur moi

My name is Firmo. I live in a seaside village on the North East coast of England beside the North York Moors.

Born 1985, married with kids, owner and founder of and, lover of the outdoors, obsessed with travel, passionate about sport (mainly endurance and multi-sport), avid-listener of blues, jazz, folk, and world music.

I love running, cycling, mountain biking and CrossFit – but can never make my mind up which I love the most. I’m at my best when I wake up in the middle of nowhere, unzip my tent and have the most magnificent view to wish me ‘Good Morning’.

In 2009 my wife and I travelled France by car with our then 8-month-old, living in a tent. In 2012, we toured Spain and France, but this time with two kids in tow! Over the years I’ve cycled the South Downs Way, ran ultra-marathons, completed Wainwright’s Coast to Coast (by bike), rode the C2C, and failed an attempt to cycle the coast-to-coast-to-coast! In May 2014 I rode the Via de la Plata (Camino de Santiago) from Seville to Santiago de Compostela, and in 2015 I merged the TransAndalus and TransMurciana mountain bike routes and spent a week cycling in southern Spain. In 2016, I’ll ride the Camino Portugues.

I’m a self-confessed Hispanophile – I’m obsessed with Spain; its people, culture, climate, wine, but most of all I love Spain’s rural landscapes. Stunning. This is where I expect to live in the coming years.
